It wasn't just one sound, but two
that filled the air;
Echo's of sea-birds.

The green paws
crept slowly to reach the shore,
stretching themselves
far beyond.

Here was slow;
It felt like all the yesterdays
had gone -
filling the ceiling of light,
which seemed almost
transparent by day;
At night,
it appeared
with stars that
resembled glass.

Life at that moment
was not just occupied with one particular thing,
but a whole interior
of density,
filling its centre.

I had the untouchable,
at my fingertips.
