a. Tree in the shore

Hospitable tree, with golden branches, full of shades,

with the salt of the sea watered,

Your root absorbs “the surf”,

you glitter adorned with sun’s spots.

The stars caress your tender leaves;

the moon rays chase each - other through your branches,

And when the warm breeze kisses you passionately,

it is beguiled by your sweet rustle. .

The birds with movable wings overpass you,

so do the storms, waves, reeds walk and pass you,

But they forget you, bond in the glassy shore,

moulding dreams of escape which delay death.

b. Unacceptable marches

The giant plane tree of the boundary station welcomes

the suns and embraces the skies,

It looks with yearning the trains that pass,

indifferently, striving to win time.

What a dread, they run before him,

and as it cannot move, it grows higher and higher forever.

«Scrivere è creare dal nulla»

D.: Per lei cosa significa scrivere?

R.: Potrei tentare una definizione del tipo: scrivere è realizzarsi. Ma in realtà normalmente non ci si chiede perché si scrive. Io scrivevo le mie prime poesie già quando frequentavo la scuola elementare né allora pensavo, ovviamente, che avrei pubblicato. Era, ed è, in qualche modo un’esigenza. Potrei anche dire che scrivere è creare dal nulla, cosí come ci dice l’etimologia della parola poesia, che deriva appunto da un verbo greco che significa “creare”.

D.: Quali sono i suoi libri del cuore?

R.: Ne sono molti. Uno – può sembrare banale – è la raccolta dei Canti di Leopardi. Poi metterei i Racconti di Edgar Alla Poe, Delitto e castigo di Dostoevski e molti altri classici dell’Ottocento, soprattutto i russi e i francesi. Piú vicini a noi, molti dei poeti del Novecento: in particolare Sinisgalli, Cardarelli e Quasimodo. Tra i romanzi IlGattopardo di Tomasi di Lampedusa e IlDesertodeiTartari di Dino Buzzati.

D.: Il libro piú bello che ha letto negli ultimi tre anni?

R.: Dovrei ripercorre un po’ le letture che ho fatto e mi è difficile ricordarle e ancor piú fare una graduatoria. Mi viene in mente un libro che mi ha colpito molto: Quattro mele annurche, un romanzo breve di Maria Rosaria Valentini, giovane scrittrice e poetessa originaria di San Biagio Saracinisco e residente in Svizzera. È un nome già abbastanza noto, ma credo che si sentirà molto in futuro negli ambienti letterari.

Tra il libri di poesia un bel libro che ho letto di recente è L’orto del poeta ciociaro Gerardo Vacana.

D.: Qual è il rapporto con la sua regione e con la sua terra?

R.: Credo che ognuno di noi paghi lo scotto, nel bene e nel male, alla propria terra. Ed è inevitabile che per uno come me, che mi sono allontanato piuttosto raramente dalla mia regione, si finisca per instaurare con essa un rapporto di amore-odio. Odio per le cose che vanno male e si vorrebbero cambiare, ma si è impotenti a farlo. L’amore non si spiega perché. Ma forse ci si affeziona alle cose che ogni giorno si vedono, le montagne, le strade, le case, gli alberi, e forse anche certe fisionomie finiscono per radicarsi nella nostra memoria.

D.: Il suo rapporto con la città?

R.: Se intende la città in cui abito, devo dire che in realtà il posto è un piccolo paese e il rapporto è lo stesso che ho con la mia minuscola regione: dovrei dire le stesse cose che ho detto per la mia terra.

Se intende invece parlare della città in generale, devo dire che non mi dispiace frequentare di tanto in tanto la città per tutto quello che può offrire, e non solo come servizi e come commercio, ma anche per la vita culturale e per gli incontri proficui che si possono fare.

Ma non credo mi piacerebbe vivere stabilmente in una grande città: troppo dispersiva, troppo confusa, troppo distratta, troppo anonima.

D.: Come è arrivato alla pubblicazione del suo lavoro?

R.: Ci sarebbe da fare un discorso molto lungo sull’editoria e sulle scelte editoriali degli editori grandi o medio-grandi, che puntano esclusivamente alla prospettive di vendita e non alla qualità.

Ma io, come Lei credo sappia, gestisco una piccola casa editrice e i libri li pubblico da me.

D’altra parte per pubblicare il mio primo libro, una raccolta di poesie intitolata Pensieri della sera, uscita nel 1980, ho semplicemente preso un manoscritto e l’ho portato in tipografia.

D.: Ha frequentato corsi di scrittura creativa?

R.: No, non li ho frequentati, ma insieme a qualche collega, in un paio di occasioni abbiamo tenuto un corso con gli alunni e i risultati sono stati incoraggianti. Alcuni ragazzi hanno cominciato a scrivere in quell’occasione e poi hanno continuato. Di un seminario fatto a Caiazzo, in provincia di Caserta, è stato pubblicato un interessante volume, La scrittura creativa, con gli interventi nostri e con gli elaborati degli studenti.

D.: Ritiene siano utili?

R.: Premetto che se non c’è il talento innato, non c’è corso di scrittura che tenga. Tuttavia direi che i corsi possono essere senz’altro utili, perché hanno una funzione maieutica. Possono cioè aiutare a prendere coscienza delle proprie capacità.

D.: Quale ritiene sia l’aspetto piú complesso della scrittura narrativa?

R.: Non parlerei di aspetti complessi, piuttosto della ricerca delle idee e della loro realizzazione in una scrittura che risulti stilisticamente accattivante.

D.: Come scrive: a penna o al computer? Di giorno o di notte? Segue “riti” particolari?

R.: Del computer, volenti o nolenti, non si può fare a meno. Quando sono a casa, scrivo – già da alcuni anni – direttamente al computer, perché è comodo: si può cancellare, riscrivere, riprendere, ecc., e poi si ha già il testo pronto per la tipografia, per il giornale o per inviarlo per posta elettronica. Comunque non disdegno la penna, soprattutto quando sono fuori casa, in viaggio o altrove. Ho sempre con me piú di una penna e spesso mi ritrovo le tasche piene di biglietti con appunti.

Niente riti, ma in genere di notte lavoro meglio, perché non ci sono distrazioni: non c’è il telefono che suona, non c’è chi bussa alla porta, non c’è la tentazione di interrompere per uscire o dedicarsi ad altro.

D.: Come è nata l’idea di scrivere il suo ultimo libro?

R.: Il mio ultimo libro, Il Paese a rovescio e altre fiabe, è nato come un divertissement, o meglio, come dei divertissement, visto che i testi sono stati scritti nel corso di diversi anni e solo ora raccolti in volume. È stato comunque preso sul serio e apprezzato dai critici, non solo, o non tanto, per la vena umoristica, ma anche per l’ironia, per la garbata satira e per un intento didascalico che si può spesso trovare fra le righe e che non appesantisce. Forse non è bello che parli io in questi termini del mio libro, ma in realtà sto riportando il senso di alcuni interventi di critici e di lettori.

D.: Preferisce cimentarsi col racconto o nelle poesie?

R.: “Preferire” forse non è il verbo giusto. Dipende dai momenti. Diciamo che alterno. Comunque la scrittura poetica, indipendentemente dal valore che la mia poesia può avere, mi gratifica di piú. Dopo avere scritto una poesia mi sento come appagato e sereno. Devo dire però che una mia lettrice ebbe a dire una volta che i miei racconti sono come delle “poesie espanse” (si riferiva al mio libro Microracconti del 1991), cosa che mi fece piacere, e che mi fece pensare. E in realtà non c’è una cesura netta tra i racconti e le poesie, come invece ci potrebbe essere tra una poesia e un articolo di cronaca (perché io ho fatto anche il cronista).

D.: Ci dà una definizione dell’uno e dell’altro?

R.: Questo è davvero difficile. Se prova a leggere la definizione della parola “poesia” in dieci diversi vocabolari, troverà dieci definizioni diverse, a volte tra loro contraddittorie, e si accorgerà che nessuna la soddisferà. Vogliamo provare a dire quello che la poesia non è? Non è un passatempo della domenica, non è un gioco solipsistico, non è uno svago fine a sé stesso, non è un hobby. La poesia è nella natura stessa del poeta. E c’è poesia quando il lettore, leggendo un testo, vi trova un po’ di sé.

Il racconto è una narrazione che abbia un contenuto valido e che sia stilisticamente piacevole.

D.: Come ha scelto il titolo del suo libro piú recente?

R.: È il titolo di una fiaba poi esteso a tutto il libro. Ma il titolo è Il Paese a rovescio, perché nei racconti c’è spesso un rovesciamento della realtà o comunque della visione della realtà, quasi sempre sul filo dell’ironia e anche dell’autoironia.

D.: Ha altri progetti in cantiere?

R.: Sí, ci sono parecchie cose in cantiere, anche se purtroppo, nella frenetica vita che viviamo e che quotidianamente ci costringe a fare cose di cui faremmo volentieri a meno (la coda all’ufficio postale, la seduta dal dentista, le incombenze familiari...) e ci costringe ad essere in posti dove eviteremmo di andare, non sempre si riesce a trovare il tempo e la serenità per dedicarsi alla scrittura.

Tra i lavori che ho avviati, una rassegna dei poeti della mia provincia, un dizionario dei personaggi illustri di Venafro di tutti i tempi, un’antologia della poesia esperanto con traduzione italiana. Cosa che attualmente non c’è: chi non conosce la lingua non ha modo di avvicinarsi alla la produzione poetica in esperanto che pure è rilevante. Ed ho anche diverse altre cose avviate o in programma, che conto di realizzare se avrò vita e forza.

2. Emel İrtem lindi në Eskişehir – Seyitgazi në vitin 1969. Ajo është diplomuar në Universitetin e Stambollit, Departamenti i Gjuhëve Latine dhe Letërsisë. Në vitin 1999 libri i saj i parë “Divaneliğe Dönen Pergel” është vlerësuar me çmimin poetik …..Murat Ariburnu. Poemat, historitë janë publikuar në shumë revista turke. Përmbledhja e dytë e poezisë “Zehirli Rüya” u publikua në vitin 2007. “Marcus ‘ un Lisan -i Kalbi” është libri i fundit i poetes, i publikuar në vitin 2008.

Kohë të vjetra,

në të cilat ti mendon i lodhshëm,

Tozan Alkan është diplomuar në kolegjin e Gallatasarait dhe Universitetin e Boğaziçi. Ai ka punuar si pedagog ( lektor ) në Universitetin e Stambollit, Departamenti i shkollës së Gjuhëve të Huaja. me zë të lartë burrat e tyre,
